Well, at least I try to think of it as controlled. Some days it's just plain chaos. Welcome to my world. I was on the unstoppable path of an education professional and then kids popped into the picture. Now, I am a work at home mom. My world is a bit more than upside down from what it used to be. Join me in my everyday controlled chaos.

Summer of 2012
This summer has been so much different than summers of the past. We don't need to take extra clothes, diapers, wipes, sippy cups and all that extra stuff. We just grab our water bottles, a few snacks and hit the road. To say that we have been busy would be an understatment. But, we aren't actually doing on vacation or anything, we're honestly just busy enjoying life. We go to the pool, the park, picnics, camping, the beach, etc. The kids are absolutely exhausted at night and that's a good thing! They've been staying up late and sleeping in late.
College
The other night after dinner, Lex and Nate were sitting at the table discussing school. They talked about how many years before Bailey would be gone to college and then for themselves. I was in the kitchen listening to their conversation and giggling to myself at how serious this conversation was for a 5 and 7 year old. Throughout the conversation, Lex had said something about taking classes and Nate, got extremely serious, put both hands on the table and said, "You have to take classes in college?" Lex said, very nonchalantly, "yes, but at night, you get to party!" They then went on to discuss where they were going to go to college (Penn State for Lex and Nate is undecided). However, Nate wants to live with Lex and Lex just doesn't know if he'll be ready to have a roommate. Watching these two in college will be soooo interesting.
