Since we've been on "vacation" this past week, we have been letting the boys sleep downstairs in the fold out sofa bed together and stay up until hours of the night watching television.
The night unfolds like this:
*Around 9ish, we get the kids settled into bed, put a movie on and head upstairs.
*Thirty minutes later we hear extreme laughing, running, jumping and then two year footsteps running up the stairs to tattle on whatever the four year old has done. "Mom? Dad? Lex is tickling me again! Tell him to stop!"
*We sent Nate back downstairs with a message to tell his brother to stop.
*Quiteness ensures for about 1 minute followed by extreme laughing, running, jumping and then the famous footseps.
*Tattling again followed by delivering of the parental message.
These steps happen several times in a row.
*Two or so hours later, Nate decides he wants to sleep in our bed.
*Thirty minutes after that Lex realizes that Nate is no longer with him so he tries to get Nate to come back downstairs as he wants someone to sleep with him.
*Mommy ends up sleeping on the sofa bed.
